Notes in the Margin

I have a nice stack of books on the bedside table right now.  Our poor library workers were furloughed over the holidays so there was a backlog of library books waiting for me on the hold shelf when the doors reopened.

I am currently reading:

DUG DOWN DEEP by Joshua Harris (advance copy from Waterbrook/Multnomah)

NANNY DIARIES by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus (a guilty pleasure from the library)

ETERNAL ON THE WATER by Joseph Monninger (Barnes and Noble First Look program)

My sweet little Noodlebug is sick right now so my reading has slowed down considerably.  Is there a worse thing in the world than seeing your little one sick? Especially when you are a neurotic basketcase like I am. Luckily, he is a tough, healthy little guy and he is fighting it off. So, I'll be checking in to your blogs to see what YOU are reading while I am nursing my sweet boy back to health!

Aw, poor Noodlebug. And, yeah, poor mama. I always freaked out when my kids got sick. I was just sure they were going to die, every time. Children get such dramatic fevers and then they go all listless and their eyes glaze over . . . and two days later they're climbing the walls, but still. It's scary. Hope he gets better quickly. I can't wait to hear about Dug Down Deep. I'm trying very, very hard not to accept any books (I get such a ridiculous number of offers that it's difficult saying no) but that's one I considered. I guess I must have let the offer sit in my in-box and forgotten about it.

Thank you, Bookfool, for making me feel less like a crazy person. Right now, Roseola is the suspect. He seems better today.

I am really liking DUG DOWN DEEP. I'm having to take my time with it due to underlining. (which I almost NEVER do in books!) I'll post about it soon!

That made me laugh out loud (neurotic basketcase). I hope Aidan gets well soon. Have fun with all that reading!
