I am Elinor Dashwood: You are Elinor Dashwood of Sense & Sensibility! You are practical, circumspect, and discreet. Though you are tremendously sensible and allow your head to rule, you have a deep, emotional side that few people often see.
I haven't yet read Sense and Sensibility, although I did see the movie years ago. The description on the quiz sounds rather like me.
By the way, my favorite Austen book is a tie between PERSUASION and SENSE AND SENSIBILITY. I have always seen myself as an Anne or an Elinor. I don't get the whole "emma" connection.
Welcome to Life by Candlelight. This is the home of the "BOTTOM LINE" book review! I've been blogging since 2003 and have worked in public and privates libraries since 2000. Find tidbits about my life, book reviews and other things currently whirling around in my brain. Unless otherwise stated, all books are either library or personal copies. I specialize in contemporary literary fiction with the occasional children's book review.
For review purposes, Children refers to books appropriate for ages 7 and under, Young Reader refers to books appropriate for ages 8-12 and Young Adult refers to books for ages 13 and up.

Oh, that's a good one Litty Kitty! I really like Elinor. The movie with Emma Thompson is a really nice adaptation of the book.
I knew that I'd be Elizabeth Bennett by a long shot... and I was. How very Elizabeth of me.
But my fav movie and book are Persuasion.
I didn't mean "by a long shot." I meant to write "by a mile." Whatever.
See? I think I know everything but I totally don't. Very Elizabeth.
Frank--You're funny.

You know, you used to have quite a bit of Marianne Dashwood in you, as well.
