Goodbye Mr. Eko

I am a big "LOST" fan. It filled the gap in my life that "X-Files" left. (one always needs a good conspiracy show in one's life) If you don't watch "Lost," this post will pretty much mean nothing to you.

My favorite character on the show is Mr. Eko. I find him fascinating. He is such a complex character and I just knew he was going to do great things for the other Losties. I can't believe they killed him off! Why? And why did the black smoke kill him and not Locke? I thought Eko was supposed to be one of the "good" people that the Others wanted to kidnap. Was Eko's brother a manifestation of the island? Was the island punishing Eko? Why did the polar bear take him in the first place? Who is going to finish building his church? So many questions!

Maybe the island will bring him back. I hope so. I don't find any of the other characters as interesting. (although I have to admit that Sawyer is pretty darn hot)

I am about to go off Lost... the first season was great. Since then it's just been more and more confusing.

I heard they may have killed of Eko because of his little run in with the law... just like Ana Lucia & Libby got killed off last season, after their drunk driving incidents. Guess you can't work for the Mouse and be a lush...

Me too!! Mr. Eko had become my new fave -- and now they've taken him away, the crumbs.

And as far as Sawyer goes...
me too!

Hi Africableu! Thanks for commenting. It's always great to find other LOST fans. I found Mr. Eko so compelling. I expected great things from him. Maybe he will appear again. I have high hopes!

You made a very very good point! Now I know why I am soooo hooked on this show. It's my replacement for X-files! Goodness that makes so much sense.

Oh, I feel that loss. I just stared at the TV dumbfounded. I feel that there was sooooooo much more story to him and it was a very un-timely death.

Am I alone on this, I hate the new kids. It has been a very awkward introduction so far, and it just doesn't seem to be working.

Hi Tc! I agree with you. The new Losties aren't compelling. And the Others are becoming a little tedious. I miss the old storylines. What is happening with Charlie and Claire? How about Rose and her husband? I love trying to figure out what is going on, though. Like who was that guy with the eyepatch?!!! Woo hoo! Creepy!
