Goodbye SOPRANOS, Hello POLICE

Well, I had to say farewell to an old friend last night. THE SOPRANOS went out with a whimper. It has been a part of my life since it debuted in 1999. That is the year my father died and it was also during my first major relationship. Now, I'm living in California and I'm married. Hard to believe how much has changed. I'm going to miss it but I guess it was time. I just wish the last episode had been different. I felt like it didn't give the viewers any sense of closure. Not that that is a requirement for tv shows but I needed SOMETHING. I think SIX FEET UNDER did a really good job with its final episode. Wish SOPRANOS could have been like that.

In other news, I am finally going to achieve a dream of mine this week. I'm going to see the POLICE on Wednesday night. I came to the POLICE a bit late. They were significant in my life from about 1992-1995. I never thought I'd get the chance to see them live and in person. I can hardly wait.

"There's a little black spot on the sun today...."

You are so lucky! I really wanted to see them, but didn't get the tickets soon enough. I saw the Police years ago for the Synchronicity tour--I don't even want to figure out how many years ago that was. It was either my junior or senior year of high school.

We came to the Sopranos late--this was the first year we saw it during the season. We saw all the others through Netflix.

Ooooh, that should be fun! I never go to concerts, anymore.

I just picked up my mail and have been digging through the Oprah tote. Wowwwwweee! Thank you so much!! What a great load of goodies to come home to! Youngster and I ate a couple of the food samples in lieu of a real breakfast and they were delicious. I was stunned to see samples from L'Occitane en Provence. I love, love, love their stuff but can't really afford it. Sometimes hubby will bring me L'Occitane items he finds on sale during his travels, though. They go a long way toward helping me forgive him for going great places without me. LOL

Thanks so much!!!!

Hey Bookfool! Glad you liked it. Don't forget to look for the coupon for the free bra. A lot of people miss that.

Hope you had a nice vacation. And if you find that S&S info, please pass it on. I love getting my hands on free books!

Purl--Better late than never...right?
